Cinco de Mayo- Stonyfield Blends/Blendtec Giveaway

It’s May- Finally and I’m thrilled to announce that is launching!

Kids Love Food is in a green mood.  This site will be dedicated to teaching you about yummy foods for kids that are wholesome, healthy and delicious.

And GREAT NEWS- we are kicking off this website with an amazing giveaway!

A case of Stonyfield Blends (that just hit the shelves) along with a Blendtec blender (valued at $455) to celebrate all things Blends.

Disclosure:  I am an ambassador for Stonyfield  and part of their Clean Plate club.  I was given a case of Blends Yogurt and a Blendec Blender as well (and both are awesome!)  I am not being compensated for this post- just have an awesome giveaway for you.

NEW Stonyfield Blends is pure organic yogurt blended with fresh fruit pieces and fruit purees. For yogurt lovers who crave a thicker, creamier cup without the tang of Greek styles, Blends offer flavor combinations that just might have you thinking you’re eating berries and cream. Not only are Stonyfield Blends yogurts filled with fresh and creamy flavor in each bite, they’re also packed with protein and calcium. They’re perfect for breakfast – on their own or with fresh fruit and granola, and  they’re satisfying for snacking throughout the entire day too.

Why I love Stonyfield Blends?  Because my kids LOVE this yogurt.  It’s smooth and creamy with no chunks.  I also love it because it is a good source of protein and makes a great breakfast before school and awesome lunch box addition!  My favorite flavor is blackberry.  My kids are in love with Vanilla and the Chocolate flavor!

Why do I love the Blendtec Blender?
It looks super cool and sleek on my counter, it’s fast and cuts through the chunkiest pieces of ice thoroughly AND it chops up spinach so fine that my kids don’t find it in their smoothies!  And because I can’t wait to use it on Cinco de Mayo!

About year and a half ago I got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. In that time I’ve been in the hospital about 3 times dealing with bad flare ups. Between the pain and the hand full of meds I have to take each day makes me feel like there is no hope. My doctors have told me that baby food (or any pureed) and yogurt would be the way to go for me to help me digest my food better. My husband has been my saving grace, he will set up my fridge with chicken broth, jello, yogurt , apple sauce all so I can just grab it and go. It would be a lot of help to have a really good blender to be able to make our own apple sauce and pureed food or even some homemade soup that I could eat. This has been a life changing experience for me but with the right help and good food there might be light at the end of my tunnel.

I did all of the above, but not twitter….I dont tweet lol

I have followed all of the instructions so I could win the wonderful blender. The last one I had was avocado color, second hand and only had two speeds! If I had this one I would try all the recipes I keep passing over because I don’t own a blender!

I liked the two Facebook pages and signed up for the Blendtec recipe e-mails.

The very first thing I’d make would be a kale smoothie! I’ve been so thirsty for one for years now. YUM–and so healthy, too!

  16. Jana May 4, 2013 at 4:02 pm #

I currently use my (mediocre) blender almost daily to whip up various smoothie recipes for a quick, satisfying snack for myself and/or my 9 year old daughter. I also like to make nut milks and a lot of other “raw” recipes that require blending. My favorite thing about having a blender is that my daughter is starting to use it herself to make her OWN smoothies recipes!
Oh, and I’ve completed all the requested steps (except for tweeting…I’ve never done that ;) Great website by the way!

I am a health food fanatic. This is my first year in college and am really wanting to get some new kitchen gear to help with healthy cooking, and this kitchen gear is obviously expensive… especially for a broke college student. I would make lots of smoothies, soups, ice creams, waffles, pretty much anything – I love to cook!

I did all of the above except twitter, I’m not a tweeter haha.

  23. Angela May 4, 2013 at 10:07 pm #

5 hours later… I completed all of the entries! :D (minus twitter.) I would make protein shakes with the blender.
